I offer integrative counselling and psychotherapy in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and online throughout the UK.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the corporate sector, including running my own recruitment business, I understand the wide range of mental health challenges people can face in high-pressure environments — from anxiety and burnout to depression, addiction, and relationship difficulties.
I also recognise that no two individuals are the same. For that reason, therapy with me is always tailored, flexible, and responsive to your specific needs rather than based on a fixed or one-size-fits-all model.
I work as an integrative psychotherapist, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what is most helpful for you. This may include:
Therapy is collaborative. We work together to develop an approach that makes sense for you, and this may evolve over time as your needs change.
I also work in an affirmative and culturally aware way, taking into account identity, background, and the broader social and cultural factors that may influence your experience.
Therapy is not a fixed process — it develops over time.
We begin with a brief initial phone call, which gives you an opportunity to ask questions, discuss what you are looking for, and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
If you decide to proceed, our first full session focuses on understanding your current situation, your history where relevant, and what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. This is a structured but open conversation, guided at your pace.
Following this, we agree a way of working that suits your needs. This may involve:
Therapy is regularly reviewed so we can ensure it continues to feel helpful and appropriate.
Where appropriate, I may integrate breathwork techniques into the therapeutic process to support emotional regulation and nervous system balance.
Breathwork can help increase awareness of how stress and emotional responses are held in the body, and can support grounding during or between sessions.
This is always used in a safe, paced, and trauma-informed way, and only where it is clinically appropriate and agreed together.
I support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
Anxiety
Chronic stress
Depression and low mood
Trauma and PTSD
Addiction and compulsive behaviours
Burnout and workplace pressure
Bereavement and loss
Relationship difficulties
Low self-esteem and confidence issues
Life direction and personal development
Where appropriate, I incorporate EMDR-informed approaches to support clients who have experienced trauma or distressing life events.
This can help reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories and support greater stability and regulation.
Hypnotherapy may be used as part of an integrative approach where clinically appropriate.
It is always delivered in a safe, structured, and collaborative way, and is never used in isolation unless suitable for the presenting issue.
Alongside my private practice, I also work with organisations to support workplace mental health and wellbeing.
My background in the corporate sector gives me a grounded understanding of workplace stress, performance pressure, and organisational dynamics, which informs both my individual and corporate work.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs.
We may work:
